Re: Olds powered 72 GMC
No Canadian version(that I know of) but man, would that be cool to see. I'm not a real big GM fan to be quite honest but ths is for sure, my favorite GM. Hope that doesn't get me into too much trouble? lol I just like cool car's of any make or model. No hardcore GM, Ford or Chrysler guy here, telling people what's best. All car's suck once a moron has had his way with one. lol

I had to paint this morning. Our resident paint sniffer failed me.

Re: Olds powered 72 GMC
My day start's with a little Christmas-like package opening. QA-1 adjustable upper trailing arm's, energy suspension bushing's and engine and tranny mount's, Eibach coil spring's, global west offset upper control arm shaft's, Hotchkis tubular sway bar's etc...

Re: Olds powered 72 GMC
Some header fittment issue's. Anyone know if the Vortec 350 head's have a different exhaust height/location? Hooker competition series making significant contact on pass frame rail and driver's side steering shaft. They fit now, but not impressed, at all. $475, out of the box and into a hammer face. Made in china or may as well be?!

Re: Olds powered 72 GMC
Hey Glennerd,
Where did you get the valve covers for your olds? Check my build thread, i'm putting a built 455 in my 86 Silverado... i used to have a 66 330 olds, man that thing will pull too! Have you decided yet if you are going to do a 455? Enjoy your rocket, cool project! Kindest regards

Re: Olds powered 72 GMC
Sorry, Nonhog. No new GMC news, but I did buy a 2000 Harley Ford as my daily driver. lol Think I'll post some pics of it on this site and see if I can piss off a few crybaby's. Naphtali, JGang racing was the outfit on e-bay where I bought the valve covers. Dig your build! Am I building a 455? Shhh. Don't tell anyone, but I have a 67 425 I'm hanging onto for the old wagon. Currently building up another 330 for a rod I have under construction(in the pic, some marine manifold's for the build). Found a pair of 1953 waterbomber seats I'll be using in the GMC, so I guess there was some relevant news.

Re: Olds powered 72 GMC
why not use the old 330 crank stcik it in a 350 olds block. offset grind to 3.6 inch and you will have a steel cranked 383 sb olds.4.125 bore , and one hell of an oldsmobile. i have one here and sure is a beauty. better than the big blocks i have played with.
