Stepside side marker bucket question

In NY we salt the crap out of the roads. My 75 rear side marker buckets were wasted from the winter driving. I found another set and now I'm not really sure how they went on from the factory. I know the marker wiring runs down it. The new bucket I have seem to be bend incorrectly.

Anyone have a picture of how they bolt onto a stepside rear fender? Specifically how and were they bolt to the bed. Thanks

Re: Stepside side marker bucket question

I snapped some pictures of the ones on my truck for you.

Let me describe it. The bucket mounts on the backside of the fender. The lens on the front. There are two screws which pass through the lens on the outside, through the fender, and then screw into tinnerman nuts on the buckets. They sandwich the fender between the lens and the bucket. Then, there are brackets to go from the bucket down to the bed side. The wiring runs along these brackets. They are basically thin angle iron with flat ends.

Re: Stepside side marker bucket question

TX- cant thank you enough. Perfect pictures. The problem I was having was that the small "tab" at the bedside was bent. Both were bent the same way in fact. I'm embarrassed about amount of time I wasted holding each up, trying to fit the puzzle.

Thanks again for pictures and the fast response.

Re: Stepside side marker bucket question

You're welcome.

I wanted to add, the brace that goes from the bucket to the bed side, it bolts to the front of the marker light bucket. It took me a while to figure that out myself when piecing mine together since I didn't know which bucket went on what side or even which side was up or down.
