Another "help me identify my engine" thread
I've stalled on being able to identify this engine; beginning to wonder if it's a replacement...and reluctant to start ordering gaskets and such until I get the year and size.
At any rate, can you guys help me id this engine or point me in the right direction? Thanks a ton in advance! It appears to have "CON2" at the rear; then "1 58" in the middle; then "14002009" in the forward location.

It's in a '66 model C10 but I can't find resources to id these numbers on any of the '66 sites.

Info I found on one site said it was a 1973-1984 292cid straight 6 cyl
Yet another said it was a 1976-1990 292cid straight 6cyl
