Re: 1968 gmc need turn signal help
I had the same type of problem with my turn signals, after trying a million different things, what finally corrected it was connecting a ground directly to each turn signal housing.

I agree. You are not getting a good ground to that lamp.

Usually looses ground where the bulb socket is crimped to the lamp assembly. Did you try grounding at the bulb itself?

Re: 1968 gmc need turn signal help
Make sure both turn signal housings are cleanly grounded, not just the one with the problem, They both need to be grounded for the lights to function. The housing units have a screw mount on the backside of them that makes it really easy to ground, I mention it b/c the previous owner of my truck must of removed the grounds trying to fix something, I never noticed the stubs till my frustration with my the lights made me remove them from the grill.

Re: 1968 gmc need turn signal help
I grounded light at the bulb. Still same problem. I have the grounds on the back of the housing that's the way it's bolted to the frame. I'm guessing that is the ground for the housing I dont see any where to mount a wire. im going do direct grounds this weekend when I'm off and have alittle daylight. I did notice that when the turn signal is on I'm also getting flashing from my gauge lights.
