Marc, where did you get your headliner? I got mine from Chevy Of The 40's and it looks different than yours and it will not fit unless I trim it (which I do not want to do) unless it is absolutely necessary. If I can find a better fitting one I will send the one I have back and get what you have.

I bought mine off of EBay a few (5+) years ago. Look around on there.

Best think is when building put a few braces in where the tank was to support and weld a few 1" square tabs to screw to on each side. you can use decorative screws or you can opt for push pins under the material .

Thanks a bunch for the photos. I ordered a ABS headliner from Chevy Of The 40's. It is made by Bowtie (this is who makes the ones for Classic parts as well). The thing did not fit. I was told by the guy at Bowtie that I had to trim it. I am sending it back Monday. I talked to Blaine at Rod Doors and his answer to the you have to trim it answer was that you should not have to trim anything. That it should fit. He also sells plain and fancy ABS door panels as well as tank and no tank behind the seat ABS panels. He is the way to go. I am going to see a couple of guys (Auto Upholstery shops who have done custom jobs for friends of mine) and then decide which way I want to go. I talked to Shannon at Interiors By Shannon
in Alabama and he does not use ABS. He makes his own fabric support system. I will have to make my decision soon because we are fast approaching the time to do the inside.
