Try bypassing the headlight switch and hooking the low beams up to 12v and see if they work. If they do, than it is the switch. If they don't, then it is the wiring somewhere.

Double check the bulbs.

Headlights go out about the same time. Whenever I have one burn out I replace both. You probably had one recently burned out low and the other one went as well.
The fact that you get high beams and then nothing tell you the switch has power and it probably good. You have ground so unless the low beam power lead got cut somehow your left with bad bulbs or bad switch.

We had one guy at CK5 chaising his tail with the same complaint. Kept telling him to check the bulbs. Guy said I checked and they were fine a week ago...No way both could burn out that close to eachother. So after a week of ripping out his hair he finnaly checked the bulb....Yep, both out.

Smile Thanks everybody

Thanks alot everybody for the suggestions.I went out and checked the wiring and I have power going to the low beams so it must be the lights themself. I picked up a set and I'll put them in tomorrow. Thanks again everybody and Merry Christmas
