Re: WTB: 71 White Door Panels

Here is a set of new PUI skins. Glue on your panels just like GM did. These were on display, so a little dusty & a little wrinkling in wood mylar...should smooth out when glued to metal panels.
I will sell these for $75 + 25 S/H

Re: WTB: 71 White Door Panels

I am interested. Would you ship to Canada?

If so , how much to ship to V1N 4E2.

The pair you have left, are they as the picture shows with the wrinkles? or are they more wrinkles or less or what sort of condition?

No---Sorry: US addresses only! I can't get parts mailed or shipped to Canada. It just costs me too much money & time. I have tried so many times and it is just near impossible.

They are in nice condition. Stored in a big sealed plastic, laid out flat and not folded...and of course---brand new. I will shoot you a couple pics. frank

One thing that you have to keep in mind is that the woodgrain on these skins is just that: skins. And this is exactly how the originals were made.

If you look at the picture, the way the woodgrain is sitting on the floor is causing it to curve inward. If you rolled up that door skin into a tube shape horizontally (woodgrain inward) so that the wood grain faced toward the inside of the tube, the woodgrain will become very wrinkled, as pictured.

However, if you role it the opposite way (woodgrain outward), it will tighten. When glued down flush to the metal door panel, the skins are stretched tight and the wrinkled appearance wanes. Just thought I'd offer that food for thought.

By the way, that's a great deal on the panels!

Re: WTB: 71 White Door Panels

70LonghornCST is exactly right. They have to be pulled tight over the metal panels, when installing and the wrinkles smooth out. PUI probably uses a fixture to make it easier when they install, but a little heat (warm only) should do the trick. thanks, frank
