bumper hitch
A friend of mine gave me a hitch that fits the 60s back truck bumpers. It looks kind of like a drop hitch but hooks to the bumper with these clamps and has a ball in the middle. Anyone have anything like this or ever saw one?

Re: bumper hitch
Yep, Uhaul. it's what my parents used when we would need to tow a trailer and Dad was without a truck at times. You rented, with deposit, or purchased them at Uhaul when you rented a trailer.

Re: bumper hitch
I remember those. Does it weigh 50 - 60 pounds?
I guess the advent of plastic bumpers made these unusable. |

Re: bumper hitch
Yeah about 50 lbs. Is it worth anything?

Re: bumper hitch
If nothing else it's cool wall art for the garage. That's an older one the ones from the seventies had chains and hooks. It was orange by the way

Re: bumper hitch
As scrap metal about $4.00.
As wall art, pric...., Ok maybe $6.00. I would save it for the wall art value. |
