LMC bolts

I have learned from reading alot of yall's post that most of the parts LMC sells are iffy at best but I was curious if the bolt kits they sell are any good. They have a complete front sheet metal bolt kit I was looking at. Any thoughts?

I've used a few bolt kits from LMC, they are OK for form, fit, and function. I would order bolt kits from them again. Even though the kits are a little more expensive, it's nice to get everything needed with a click of a button, and not spend hours trying to source them locally.

Thanks for the reply. I was wanting to order the complete kit so I knew I would have everything I needed to put the front fenders and everything back together.

worst case scenario, you can always call them to see if you can get some clarification on where they come from. Like Lee stated, they work. I too have used some smaller bolt packages from other companies, and they worked as well. Best of luck to you with your decision.

Not saying "my way's best", but the way I do it is, in this order of sourcing:

1) My own stash (often requires some re-organizing );
2) My Friend's stash (trading/reciprocating/begging);
3) Local (my small town) businesses;
4) Forum Vendors;
5) Big Box Vendors.

No "better" or "worse" ways to go, I guess.
I mostly don't spend enough to make a difference to anyone.

Doing it in this order, though, I usually get to make some new friends,
keep some old ones. And it makes me happy.

For me, what's one more "click" of the mouse, one more e-mail to a
Forum Vendor/Forum Friend, or one more ride to the locally owned
hardware store?

But that's just me.

LMC bolt kit. I have used some off there stuff and it was decent. The one exception was those bolts/screws that hold the door panels on for a 67-71 door. Out of 8, 6.5 were usable. Once I busted the flash out of the cross one more was usable. The last one was totally closed off before it was plated. Looked like a carriage bolt. I also had good luck with their hood hinges. Mine were not fit to be rebushed and bent.

LMC is iffy as noted on a lot of items, but I just ordered a few odds and ends screws/bolts. They all seem fine. Just don't order things like their factory tach's or speedo's. They were worse than my original. To their credit, they sent me 3 speedo's and didn't want the old ones back. None of them worked worth a crap. After 10 minutes at 70 MPH, they'd lose about 4 MPH... how does that happen?!

I realize it's pricey, but so far, I've ordered anything applicable from Totally Stainless in Pennsylvania.

I ordered the complete stainless kit. They don't label everything, but they label groups so you'll know where they go. I had some left overs and some special things I had to get bolts for but having every body bolt made it very easy and faster to reassemble. you don't need to list everything and then order each piece. I would get a kit again if I needed one. If you get stainless bolts from anywhere make sure to use anti-seize. They like to bind if you try to loosen a tight bolt. (I had to break all the bolts off that hold on the front bumper be cause I forgot anti-seize.)
