Garage floors
Has anyone used the spay in bedliner to coat their shop floor? I have seen where vortex has used it for garage floors. Of coarse they say it is great. I have used SEM spray in bed liners, which is real tuf. Has anyone has used similar products? Any pros or cons? I also have looked into race deck flooring. Any input would be great. Berm!

Hmmmm, It would be really sticky, things would not slide around etc.... I like to be able to slide under a truck/car to work on it

I like a smooth floor myself. Sometimes a creeper can be a pain.

it would be REAL expensive too ... for that kind of money you can hire a professional to come in and do a complete epoxy system

All said and done, my tile floor didn't cost much more than epoxy and was definately cheaper than the bed liner stuff.

I love Randy's floor but I'll probably go with Home Depots new paint when my garage is finished.

Hey 70, you have seams in your garage floor or is it all one big pad? I ask b/c I've debated tiling my floor, but I've got these huge seams that quarter off the garage.

The texture of the spray in liner material would make sweeping and cleaning spills a pain. As someone else mentioned you might see problems if you use jackstands on it, and your creepers not going to roll real easy. I used an epoxy on mine almost 10 years ago and it still looks good. A friend just used the U Coat It system, http://ucoatit.com/ on his floor. It is one of the nicest shop floors I've seen.

we used the epoxy at work and it holds up very well in our shop. i would reccomend to put it down as soon as the concrete is dry though. it will stick the best and last the longest if the floor is perfectly clean and free or grease and oil. prep work is key with the epoxy floor coatings
