Has any one used theses wilwood d52 calipers on their 15 inch ralley wheels and they dont fit cause they stick out to far and hit the wheel http://www.summitracing.com/parts/wi...6-bk/overview/ ?

Re: Wilwood brakes?
They are a direct replacement for the factory calipers, and should have no issues with your current wheels, if running them already. They do also sell these calipers in a kit with pads.

Re: Wilwood brakes?
they hit right on the bead where the face of the wheel and the ring itself are welded. I know they make wheel spacers but a wheel guy told me they really aren't safe to have on the front wheels.. Is this true?

Re: Wilwood brakes?
I have seen guys run large spacers, the ones that bolt to the hub and then the wheel bolts to it…. but, in my opinion, I would try to keep the spacer to a minimum. Shouldn't take much to clear, maybe .25"???
If you do run a small spacer, make sure the studs are long enough. I usually recommend getting the extended length lug nuts so that you get a little more thread engagement that get reduced when you run a spacer. |

Re: Wilwood brakes?
I was running an aftermarket 15 inch wheel on my 68 that had been converted to disks. When I swapped to the D52 they did rub slightly I had to go to 18 inch wheels.

Re: Wilwood brakes?
I had to move the wheel weights on my 15" TTD's.
