late model seats in a 77

i got a set of power seats out of a 04 tahoe and i want to put them in my 77 crew k3500 i set up one of the seats to see how its gona fit the problem i see is that it sets to high up its gona be real hard for my old ask to jump up in it. just wondering what you guys have done to fit a set of these seats in ? thanks ahead

Cut the hump out on each side and make the floor flat. Not a easy job but the late model seats are worth the trouble.

I refuse to cut up the floor on my truck, and am currently in the process of installing 2002 silverado seats. I should have them done this weekend and will be able to update you with pics and how much higher they sit.

Basically, I broke down the new seats so that they could be mounted at the lowest point. Removed the adjustable track and some other unnecesaries and am going to mount the seats and center console to some square tube that will be fastened to the factory slider brackets. So... that if somewhere down the line, I decide that I do not like what I've done... it will be very easily reversible.

Just another suggestion. Different way to skin a cat

you can trim the metal down and bolt it to a square tube frame to shorten its height. still pretty high. if you want it to work like they do recline and all no your really cant bolt to older tracks though. i post this all the time but ford seats. ford has a raised floor.

What other Chevys have a flat floor?
Blazers?
I thought my Suburban (73) would have one since the gas tank does not need the hump.
BUT, it has a hump!

Was thinking maybe you could graft in a factory flat floor. Just a thought.

I put a 60/40 cloth seat out of a 98 chevy pickup in my 84 a couple years ago. I took the 98 rails off and bolted sliders off of an 86 suburban onto it. Thats about as low as you can get them I think. The seat is a little taller than stock but they work good for me as I am short. Here are some crappy cell phone pics.

k5s are about it before 88. you cant graft that in due to the fuel tanks and frame. you have to make your own floor pan if you want a flat floor and its still going to have the frame rail notch. for the money ford seats are the best swap ive seen. superduty of new f150s are better seats really.
