4L80e
I have a 1991 two wheel drive crew with a rebuilt 4L80e in it as a parts truck.
Wondering if it's worth saving this transmission and shelve it as a future donor for my 1991 crew 4x4 with the 4L80e. Will it mate up to the np205? Is it plug and play? Thanks! |

Re: 4L80e
Is it a gas engine?
Definitely keep the wiring harness and computer.

Re: 4L80e
I think all you got to do is change the tailhousing and it will work. I got one of the 4l80/205 adapters sitting around and its longer than a regular 241 style adapter, like twice as long.

Re: 4L80e
if its like a 60e you can change the tail without rebuilding it. im not a 100% on the 80e though.

Re: 4L80e
the housing bolts on a 60e but you still have to rebuild it to get the proper output shaft for 4wd. looks like its the same for the 80e.
