Powder Coat Wheel Color Decision Time

I am getting new tires and Les Schwab will media blast and PC my wheels for $25 ea. so I need to decide on a color. I have narrowed it down to White, Gray, or Silver, non fleet colors cost more. The truck will be white with a black bed and it has a new blue interior. I like white and silver and the truck is supposed to look bone stock. There is no way I am going back to the stock black. You cant see any detail in the wheel.
Please opine.

Heck, for that price do them the color you think you want the most and if you don't like it do it again. That's crazy cheap!

Re: Powder Coat Wheel Color Decision Time

I was quoted 25 a piece just to blast mine. $250 to blast and PC plus the cost of custom order powder to color match 518 green.

I've decided to put in the time, make a water trap for the sand blaster and paint them myself... I figure it will be good practice for when I paint the rest of the truck...

I say white, but if you are thinking a non fleet color is what you will want, then do it.

Re: Powder Coat Wheel Color Decision Time

They picked up my wheels today. Im going with white white. They go back to their store and then off to their PC shop one town over. Should have them back at the end of the month.

Thanks for all the opinions. Very much appreciated.

Re: Powder Coat Wheel Color Decision Time

Is the factory white color more gloss or matte? That is a killer deal, if there is a LS in Spokane that will do them I may go that route myself!

Re: Powder Coat Wheel Color Decision Time

Can i ask who Les Schwab is? I bought a set of kelsey hays rims from DWILBUR in San Jose California, had them shipped to me in the middle of Iowa. When i unpacked them one wheel was signed by Les Schwab Grants Pass Oregon. I thought it was neat and didnt think much more of it till i read your post.

West coast tire chain based out of central Oregon. They offer wheel refurbishing and truck bodies.
