Seat swap
I had been trying to decide on a new cover for the dually seat. I didn't like the usual type covers, so I started looking for a different seat altogether. My '69 has a seat from an '88 Silverado, and it fits and sits great. So after wandering around a few boneyards, I found this in a Chevy Sport truck. Had to swap out the brackets, but it works really well. Before and after.

The bracket is the one from the worn out seat. I had to drill two holes for each side, but it worked out fine. I don't have a picture of the whole bracket, but when I put in the new carpet, I'll take out the seat and get one for you if you'd like.
I've had the truck for about a year. The guy I bought it from wore out the seat pulling horse trailers between South Carolina and Oklahoma for several years. The red duct tape was a nice touch though.

I have from a 91. Love all the leg room i gained and several inches lower.

What do you think about the ride quality though? In my 85 3/4 ton it seemed to make it ride even rougher. It has 4 shocks per axle, I'm not sure that helps either, but it's a kidney buster now.

95-99 (00 hd) chevy or gmc its the base model truck cloth seat.

you take the sliders off a 73-87 seat and mount them on the 95-99. personally id rather have the superduty ford seats like ive posted in other post. better fit.
