Push button start,need info here.

I'm going push button start on my 65' along with a hidden key. So,turn the key, push the button for start.

There are momentary and push on and off options and at this point I dont know what to use with my future setup here.

I see alot of 5amp buttons but thought a 20amp might be needed.I would like to find a plain non-illuminated button with a face large enough to cover the existing ignition hole in my cluster. Most I have seen are around a 19mm face and I'm sure a 25mm to 30mm face will be needed.

I posted a pic here of something close to what I'm looking for.

Anyone who may have found something like this and can post a pic or two and part number, brand, etc.here would be appreciated.

Re: Push button start, need info here.

You could use a 5 amp button, if you use it to trigger a relay for the starter.
But otherwise you are correct on wanting a 20+ amp switch.
Try looking for marine switches

Ill take your advise, never thought to look at marine.I'd rather not have to run a relay so 20amp is where I'm going to want to stay.

Thanks.

Yes,push button going into the existing hole where the ignition would have been originally.
