Ok, can someone give me a checklist of what items to look into.
I'm running a gm crate 350 ,all new accessories under the hood. Truck ran great then all of a sudden the other day it is bogging really bad under accelleration, Then it ran ok for a drive, now its back to bogging out really bad. Thanks guys. It ran great for a week or 2 and this just started happening. |

Re: engine bogging under acceleration..
Is it bogging down all of the time now? That may actually be a good thong as it is easier to diagnose a constant problem bs an intermittent one. Are your fuel filters clean? Is the distributor all new as well? Points or electronics? Have you checked the timing with a light?

Re: engine bogging under acceleration..
All new distributor, plugs, new edelbrock carb, fuel filter looked clean, brand new gas tank so it didn't have any nasty stuff it could be sucking from there.
Turned the key, can hear the electronic fuel pump goin. |

Re: engine bogging under acceleration..
My mechanic timed it before I took it from the shop, I gotta have a friend bring a timing light by my house to check it

Re: engine bogging under acceleration..
Deff check fuel filter, make sure the choke is open. Quite possibly the accelerator pump is bad.

Re: engine bogging under acceleration..
Update, took it back to my mechanic, it was a defective carb I will have to ask which part was defective specifically. summit said ship it back so a new one is in route so that's a plus.
