Re: What would you do with this 427 powered 72 GMC log loader?
100% I would put a flatdeck on it and lift sleds up on it when i rip to Lost Johny for some tree ridin. Seriously I'd love to have one of them for a snowmachine hauler, the log boom and tandems may be overkill but.....

Haul logs. IMO its priced at a number that you would only get a return if you were in thinsustry and put it to work.

Re: What would you do with this 427 powered 72 GMC log loader?
If you can, you might want to post in the heavy hauler section, they love those trucks there. Not saying we don't they just may have a different idea. I have been wanting a C-40 50 or 60 but that one is way out of my price. I have found my dream machine for the project but other projects in front and a shop full and low funds are just the top 3 reasons why I haven't already got it at home. Jim

Mounting a pumpkin cannon to the boom could be fun...I could launch pumpkins into Flathead Lake from various locations.

It needs a bulkhead behind the cab..... Its a widow maker right now with a load of logs and nothing but sheet metal protecting the driver.

Re: What would you do with this 427 powered 72 GMC log loader?
^^^ I agree. I'd want a headache rack. I'll buy that and cut/haul/load logs for a living. I'd start a logging outfit with "gentle care" as our selling point. I could start with dbash's place and hopefully grab enough jobs to survive till Discovery Channel hooks me up with a show.

Re: What would you do with this 427 powered 72 GMC log loader?
Another pic. I've seen a lot of larger 67-72 trucks around here, things like I imagine are C60's, which I imagine this truck is.

The make is optional as it has the blue bowtie on the hood and a GMC grille.
