No fuel pressure
New tank.
New sending unit. New rubber lines. Steel lines blown out. New fuel filter. New fuel pump...installed correctly. 1970 gmc 2500....402...rebuilt. This is the second fuel pump in 3 weeks. Shouldn't the fuel filter be full? Mine is empty...fuel spurts in when it feels like it. No pressure on gas cap when I open it. Frustrated in Texas.

Re: No fuel pressure
If you pore gas in the carb and get it running will it stay running?

Re: No fuel pressure
Check everything from tank to fuel pump by siphon, then look at the ushrod and make sure it moves when you roll the motor over by hand.

Re: No fuel pressure
Sounds like a air leak before the pump. Without a check valve the fuel will drain back out of the carb after it sits.

Re: No fuel pressure
It does sound like the fuel pump push rod is hanging up by how you describe it. I'd pull the pump and see if the rod moves in and out freely with my finger, if it does make sure its a bb pump, a question, why is it the second f pump in 3 weeks?

Re: No fuel pressure
maybe a bolt that might be to long in the front of the block that is holding the fuel pump rod?
