Re: Project "Captain Insano"
Thanks guys. I cruised around the neighborhood a little today. Here's a few photos. And for the record, that's not a fluid leak underneath the crossmember, it's condensation from the exhaust. I'm extremely surprised I don't have any kind of leaks so far. Fingers crossed!

Great progress you've done so far. I bet you're glad it's moving!

Re: Project "Captain Insano"
I've used standard teflon tape on air fittings & never had issues. I can air up the rear bags of my dually & they'll retain psi for several weeks (possibly longer but I always manipulate them before then for one reason or another).
Congrats on the maiden voyage.

Re: Project "Captain Insano"
Yeah, I was getting some stares. Sure was fun. We're at the entrance to the neighborhood so just about everyone knows or sees what I'm up to cause I spent more time in the garage on this truck than inside. A few people stop by to look at the progress.

Re: Project "Captain Insano"
I'm not sure. It was in already when I got the truck. I was told it might be out of an 80-90's model chevy truck. It has the built-in arm rest, so I'm keeping it in! Need to paint the frame and reupholstered.

Re: Project "Captain Insano"
Looks like a 40/60 bench from a 88-94.

Re: Project "Captain Insano"
It looks like that style stitching pattern but no split. Straight bench.

Re: Project "Captain Insano"
Thanks. They're all AutoMeter. I ordered them from SummitRacing.com. Perfect size for the stock bezel, but you have to get creative and make up your brackets from behind to get them to stay.

Re: Project "Captain Insano"
Thanks! I'm thinking about making some 1" blocks for the rear to even it out a little more.

Re: Project "Captain Insano"
Thanks, I hope I can hang with some of the nice rides at a show. A lot of these guys are building some excellent trucks. I plan on driving this truck 5-6 days a week, so hopefully it'll stay nice.

Re: Project "Captain Insano"
Thanks. This weekend I'm going to work on clearancing the insides of the bed for the tires. Hopefully I'll have some assembled pics soon. Can't wait to see it with the body together.
