Here's my 71 gmc spid and the firewall numbers which has a 4t on the pass side and a 4t on the drivers side. Truck has air and is med bronze with a white top

And my 68 Chevy spid and firewall numbers which has t2 on the pass side and a 2t on the drivers. Truck has air and is solid white.

A while back, maybe a year and a half ago, I talked with Paul Duncan (DuncanandSon), who is extremely knowledgeable about our trucks, and gathered this bit of information. In our discussion, we noted trends and patterns with the firewall grease markings and can conclude that while there may have been guidelines, there was not always consistency when the production workers marked the firewalls. Here is a little bit of information that we discussed:
