Third Row Bench Pics

Could someone please post some pics of their third row benches and how they were mounted from the factory?

I have a 1971 K20 Sub and a third row was not one of the options selected by the original buyer. The rear bed of the truck is standard marine grade plywood and I am wondering what the setup was like if a third row option was selected. Did the factory merely bolt tracks and a bench into/through the plywood or was there an alternative plate welded into the back to accomodate the seating.

Actually, now that I think about it, since I don't have a second row bench currently I am wondering if that gets bolted through the plywood as well...hmmm. Or are the second rows merely bolted into the steel floorboard of the front half of the truck?

Any original pics of either/both mounting setups would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Re: Third Row Bench Pics

There were no channels, or special hardware used to mount the 3rd bench to the wooden area. Just bolts going through the wood, then using nuts in the rear with large washers and the front bolts used one of the support beams.

Just crawl under the rear area of the Suburban, and look at the steel cross supports. You should see where the 3rd row seat bracket bolts into one of the cross beams that will have welded nuts into the support beam.
