Too Much Drop
Gotta question I recently purchased an 87 Chevy Short Bed Step Side, The truck has already been lowered with dropped spindles and coils and the rear has the spring hanger relocator and extended shackles. The problem I have is the truck still has way to much rake the (the back is to high) if i install the axle flip kit and c-notch am i gonna be to low in the back and have to put stock shackles and spring hanger back on it. Also no springs (leafs) have been removed. I am afraid if i do the axle flip I will have the rear lower than the front. In all i think it needs to drop another 4" in the back

Re: Too Much Drop
Put a set of stock leaf spring hangers and shackles back on it and do a flip kit.
That is the best way to lower the rear.

Re: Too Much Drop
I'm about to install my flip kit and need stock shackles. Tried posting to the classifieds here but it wouldn't let me. What's the best source for stock length shackles?

Re: Too Much Drop
I went to the local junk yard and he's got some, he wants $80 for the shackles
and spring hangers. the good news is i can get them quick the bad news is you can buy them new from LMC for about he same cost less shipping and the wait for them to arrive |
