Thanks for the opportunity Dan.

Okay so I guess its mine and I have couple questions. Did they happen to put the screws that hold the mechanism in place in the box ? I ask because I have nothing in my column now and I would think those screws are very specific to the column to hold the canceller in place Were you including shipping in your price and will you take Canadian money. I pay with PayPal if that is okay.

If the mounting screws are the same as a non-tilt column, I have some if your interested. The column is in my scrap metal pile if you want the screws.

Just cover shipping.

Re: Nos signal cancel

Do you have to rewire the hole column? I sure that is whats wrong with mine, but not sure I need the wiring? Can this part be purchased separate?

Put me in line if your deal falls through.

thanks,
Greg

Hello everybody, it's been a fairly good amount of time since I checked in around here and was just directed by another member via e-mail to this thread with some questions. This pictured 5900 turn signal switch was not an O.E. application for the A.T. column shifted tilt columns, there are a hand full of gm/delco p/n's that can be used on the A.T. tilts if you already have an existing shift indicator lamp socket and power wire to swap over to the new non-tilt switch. The real deal A.T. tilt only turn signal switches are fairly hard to find in GM/Delco NOS anymore, I have added some pictures of two different Delco t/s switches below, one for the non-tilts and the other style for the A.T. tilts showing the automatic trans shift indicator lamp socket and grey power wire. I have come accross a few early NOS turn signal switch p/n's that did not have a provision for mounting the A.T. tilt only indicator bulb socket, on this early type of switch the turn signal function, hazard function and horn function part of the switch would all work, the negative side to this would be that you now have a non-illuminated shift indicator lens. While getting the turn signal switch Id pictures and also since the discussion came up above, I decided to get some pics showing the difference in the tilt and non-tilt turn signal switch mounting screws as I have seen the subject come up quite a few times over the years. Hope the pictures help with some of your questions and good evening to all, Mel.

Thanks for the info Mel. So are you saying the one for sale on here might not work on a72 with tilt?

I've already paid for it ( but don't know if it has shipped yet) and if someone definitely tells me will not work for me I'll put it back in the For Sale section.

No problem at all, I had also recieved a pm from another member with some questions on the post that I had made in this thread, so I decided to go back and get a few better pictures on the subject which may also come in handy for other members searching in the future. If you are wanting the t/s switch for a A.T. column shifted tilt, then the t/s switch needs to have the below pictured/highlighted area to mount the A.T. shift indicator bulb socket & power wire. This one may or may not have the provision, but I can tell you that the part number listed on this one was replaced/superceded back in 67 or 68 with yet another p/n, and there were no tilt columns offered as OE in 67 or 68 C/K GM trucks. Let me know if you have any other questions, Mel.
