Hands free mic install
1993 Suburban with overhead console. I put a complete new stereo in it just as soon as I got it. Now I am wishing I put in a head unit with Bluetooth.
Been pricing new head units and have decided to go ahead and replace this one with a new unit with Bluetooth. I will have to add a microphone somewhere in the vehicle. I want to install the mic, not just clip it to the visor or stick is on the dash. I wanted in mounted in the dash or the overhead console. Not just tacked on somewhere. Just wondering if anyone has installed one and might give me some pointers or ideas. |

Re: Hands free mic install
I had drilled a hole in the dash right beside the cluster and poked the mic through there, but call quality was poor. I moved it to the A pillar level with my face and it's much clearer.
