Re: 250 or 292

How tall are the sidecovers? 4 inches for a 230 or 250 and 6 inches for a 292 also note that the 292 has the motor mount almost in the center of the block and the fuel pump is mounted behind the motor mount. On a 230 or 250 the fuel pump is directly behind the distributor and the motor mount is behind the fuel pump. If it is out of an 85 then it is most likely a 292 with the intake modified.

Look at it real real good again.

An integrated head as far as I know means the intake manifold and exhaust manifold and head are all one piece. I know it goes something along that line anyway. But if you take a look at the sidecovers I could tell you right away what the engine is.

Thats correect. You cant remove any of it because it is casted with the head as 1 piece.

Re: 250 or 292

The 292 never used the intregal head. You probably have a 250. It would be very rare that someone would put the intregal head on a 292.

Re: 250 or 292

You have a 250 cu/in engine. Also known as a 4.1L during the 80's when metric was considered hip.
