Re: 94 SFA Ranger
Loaded up and off to Clarksville, TN. The explorer V8 swap and hydroboost setup is being done by a friend of mine who is very experienced in this swap. He is also extremely good with electronics. Me? Not so much. |

Re: 94 SFA Ranger
Just went through this thread. I'm not a Ford fan by any means, but that is one hell of a build and one badass rock crawler. Can't wait to see how this new Ranger comes out.

Thanks man! Hoping to get her back the weekend of May 4th. Hydroboost will likely not be done, but it will be running and driving

Re: 94 SFA Ranger
Good luck man. And have fun moving back west. I'm from Sacramento but I wouldn't move back there if someone payed me to do it.

Re: 94 SFA Ranger
got some updates....
When I installed the rear, I made a mistake... I centered the rear diff, not the entire axle, so now it's off to one side. I'll redo it once I pull the bed for paint. Ugh. So aggravated at myself. When I did the 9", it was centered in the axle tubes, the sterling is not. oh well. stuff happens also got all the old brackets cut off and ground down on the 50, and ordered a 3 link kit from Barnes using their new Enduro Joints. going to run the 3rd link on the passenger side of the axle. |

Re: 94 SFA Ranger
Subscribed. I have a little black 91 Ranger 2WD 2-seater in my garage with a 2.3, blown head. Great looking truck when waxed, but I can't decide what I want to do with it just yet.

Re: 94 SFA Ranger
Well, after many months of trying to work on it, I decided to sell it off....
Not. In reality it is at a shop having everything done. Currently the shop is rebuilding the front arms, relocating the coilovers, building motor mounts, building a new skid plate, and addressing the running issue. We found out the factory frame will not work with the front axle, so I decided to keep the full width dana 44 for the front, just beef it up a bit. The plans for this truck is tough wheeling, but more technical than bawls out hammer down stuff. Here are some of the most recent pics Front sheetmetal all back together New engine cage mounts |
