hello everyone im having trouble. has anyone used moser 9100 c clip eliminator kit on the street? there telling me its ok if your not putting a ton of miles on it. then i here you can weld on ford ends and use ford axles they said they couldnt do it but some do. whats the best way to do this its a street strip truck 1970 700hp at motor. never been to track yet this is why should of went with 9inch ford. hope someone can help got to much money wrapped up in it to buy whole new rear end.

Personally, I would swap in a entire 9" rather than mess around with mixed and custom parts that are costly and time consuming to replace.

The C-clip eliminators are OK for a track only truck but they DO leak. Gear oil is not something you want splashing on your brakes.

A built Ford 9 inch from Moser, Currie or Strange engineering is going to start at two grand and top out at $3500.00.

Better to get your housing set up to run large bearing ford axles which do not need c-clips.

These ends will make the swap: Moser Part # 7950 - Chevy Impala & Truck (uses 9" Ford large bearing & non c-clip axles) then you will need a set of these axles built to the length of your housing with the new ends: Moser Part # A30CST - Custom Length Alloy 30 Spline Axles. Cost will be about $465.00 if you cut and re-weld the housing ends or a whatever the diff shop wants to charge if they do it. Typically 8-900.00.

The bearings on the ends are for straight line use , ie track use , no street driven . I believe they are roller bearings as opposed to needle bearings

They are available in tapered roller or Ball. Stock bearings for an 8.875T are tapered roller.

thanks guys im going to just get a 9inch tired of all the hassle to get the 12 bolt to work were im at ill have to take it to two different shops to get it done for around 1500.00. when i get ford for less than 3000.00 i hop so who makes the best 9inch for the money in yas opinion

Swapping in a 9-inch is probably the best bet. Speedway Motors just came out with a 9-inch housing that will bolt right up to the trailing arms even. Wish they had that a few years back when I did mine. I took the 12-Bolt to Currie and had them install Ford axles and ends, etc. Here's the story if anyone's interested...

Totally fine behind the stock 307/5-speed. In the midst of a blown LS install, so I'll get back to you in a few weeks...lol

theres a real good at chassis stuff at good price here in north tx (not sure if he wants his name put on here). he turned me onto another guy and he told me for around 1800.00 he can do the 12 bolt like you said with 35 spline axles and waveloc diff sprecision street strip gear set. 411s a new 9 inch from moses same diff and axles 4000.00 strange was 3800.00 dam there high i just like the gm on gm stuff i know kind of stupid. james b told me it would take a transbrake, high rpm launches and alot more hp to hurt the 12 bolt he does them all the time even said he give me a limited warranty on it that confident. so i think im going to try the 12 bolt mod. hope it all works out thanks for responding. let me know how you ls1 build goes. thanks
