Post Headers for '71 GMC 4x4

What sort of headers would a guy use on a 4x4. Looks like if I used regular headers I would have a problem running the pipe from the header past the transfer case and I can't have the pipe hanging below the transfer case crossmember. Should I use shorty headers and run it above the crossmember???? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

i ordered hooker headers out of summit for my 3/4 ton 4x4 and it didn't take much bending to go above the cross member

I have regular headers on my 71 4X4. The collectors come right out at the back of the front springs. The exhaust pipes then go above the transfer case support with no problem. I believe they are hedman. If I can come up with a picture I will e-mail it to you.
