how much play/slop in the trunions ?

The tailgate pivoted really easy and did not have any noticeable slop or drop when it was being opened and closed. Thanks, Fred.

I have a few sets of trunions with side to side play in the them so when you open the gate the trunion falls out to the side and the center of where it folds in the middle (or unfolds on the way down) grabs the side of the bed by the inner taillight housing and will bend it ( the bed )if not care full ......couple of pics shows the slop im talking about

Oh, you mean the hinges.. I misunderstood you. Just checked them. There is some play, nothing I would call excessive but they are probably about the same as what you have. Thanks, Fred.
