I am still working on this. I had a little lull and got hung up on what to do about engine mounts. I was hung up on that for awhile. Can't use factory ones since my cross member is up 5" and forward almost 2". I picked up some trusty yj bushings and have elected to make my own. The floor is cut out of the cab and the engine is plunked down in there. I just need to position the engine on blocks, square it up and start taking some measurements........And it's people like you that keep me thinking I should not waste my time with 305 and just pickup an LS...... I will, but not yet, need to make sure the truck 'works'

Picked up some older aftermarket box sides for what looked like a good deal. Hopefully this will give me some much needed motivation. Started making some engine mounts ended up going super simple.

I'll hang the body panels and get some better pics sometime......

Got the engine mounts sorted out, not what I have originally wanted, but should do with some bracing... Next is to mock up a tranny crossmember.

Made a Tranny crossmember with provisions for exhaust. The next big challenge is headers, being that the engine location has been modified truck ones hang too low. I didn't want to run headers, but I need to some that the steering shaft can go from the column to the rack.
Hung some panels to take some pics (new box sides).....

I found some headers that will work with slight modification (shorten them 3 in). Shoved it back in the shop put together so I can do some engine swaps (on Dodge vehicles so it's irrelavent) So she is on hold for a little bit.
