Your first on the tach air dash, I didn't try it personally, but Tim said it did work. Ribbon has a spot right where it goes into the plug area.

You mean the shaft/spline? I'll take a look when I get home. It's dirty, don't remember any putting.

Not the spline, just the bottom looks rusty from your picture or is it a lot of grease - dirt build up? If there is no rust pitting on the bottom shaft I will take the column
