454 vin location
can anyone tell me where the vin would be located on an early 70's 454 block?

No vin on engine block. There is an identification number on the right side of the engine below the head on a small flat pad.

OK thanks, but I thought they started putting partial vin's on blocks in the late 60's maybe 69?

They did!
It'll be below the first line on the pad. Last six digits of the vin. Also look for a pad along side the oil pan that might have the same vin info. |
