custom trailing arms ideas?

Been installing air ride in my truck for the past few weeks and got to the rear trailing arms and there shot beyond fixing. I dont really wanna spend $400-600 on a porterbuilt, cpp,... ect. set. I figured it would be much cheaper to make some and was wanting some input and possibly some pictures of some. Thanks!

Look around your area for guys running circle track. I got a nice set of NASCAR truck arms for $80. Came off a pavement late model.

Re: custom trailing arms ideas?

I used cpp box plate for the stockers and powdercoated. The with the truck going lower to correct angles and move axle back I went PorterBuilt with 1" drop built in.

Re: custom trailing arms ideas?

There is a "how to" thread here about making tubular trailing arms. Has links to the joints needed.
