Re: Remember these?

Garbage can. Most states (including Oregon) require a receptical for trash so drivers don't throw it ot the window. If an officer wants to, he/she can cite you for not having a bag or can in the vehicle. Most dealerships offered bags that hung from the radio knob and JC Whitney used to sell small trash cans for the center trans hump that had bb filled bags on each side to balance it upright. These were cool becaise they are somewhat hidden when installed.

Re: Remember these?

I don't remember them, nor would they help with my kids as they can't hit a 20 gallon garbage can 2 ft away as it is.

I thought it was a drip bucket to catch water from leaky windshield. I have one that leaks in that spot.

Re: Remember these?

You must be older than me and im 46.. I never saw one of those before..

What is it for again? I may have missed that.

I do remember little trash bags that people would hang from the radio knobs, or 8 track players.

Re: Remember these?

Hahaha I'm 46 also.
Its a small compact garbage pail designed for the 60-66 trucks with the vent slide. An upgrade from the plastic bag.
Our 72 Swinger had 2 snubs on the inside of the glove box and a tear off package of trash bags that attached to the nubs. When you opened the glove box the next bag would fall out and hang for you to dispose your trash.

The trash bin currently has a corn dog wrapper, mustard packet, corndog dog stick and an empty diet Monster can in it from my road trip to LT1burb's place... lol

Re: Remember these?

I use a Folgers can that's mounted under my floor board and use a rust hole to drop the trash into the can! works just fine and didn't cost me anything lol

Re: Remember these?

I remember the bags the dealers used to hand out for trash bags but had never seen the one you have. Has to be a great find, how many of them are laying around and how many people know what they are.

Re: Remember these?

The factory also had under dash litter containers and a container that sits on the trans hump that's weighted with sand.. I have both, but rarely use either. I normally put the under dash litter container in when going to shows....they are kind of in the way when you have a passenger in the middle.

Both are getting increasingly hard to find.
