power brake help

I have a 72 c10 shortbox that came with factory disc/drum setup. We want to add power to them to help pedal effort. Can anyone tell me what all I need to get to make this happen? thought about buying the master cylinder/booster setup on ebay but wanted to know if this was the best thing to do. Any help or links would be great. im searching but not finding what I need so far.

Re: power brake help

You should need the new master/booster setup, firewall bracket, and connecting rod to the pedal. Then you need a fitting on the carb or intake for vacuum and a hose to connect to the booster. I got mine from a donor truck. I believe CPP sells a complete kit or there are custom firewall brackets out there. Might find the brackets on the parts board here also.

Re: power brake help

If you can find the brackets & connecting rod to the pedal used here on the parts board, you can buy the master cly. & booster from a local parts store like NAPA for a lot cheaper.

Re: power brake help

might check local Pick'N'Pull type wrecking yards and craigslist too for power booster core and correct bracket and pedal rod
