Long MC Pushrod?
I picked up a disk/drum MC on CL a couple weeks ago for my upcoming swap, I already have a rebuilt Booster. the MC I got has the deep socket which I believe means it would work with manual brakes, however I have read that there is a long pushrod that will allow me to use the MC with my booster...
Despite a large amount of searching I have not been able to find one listed on the web. If anyone out there can point me in the right direction as to where I could find one that would be great, also any other information on compatibility between booster and MC and what is involved in getting everything to work together would be great. |

Re: Long MC Pushrod?
If you have the 11" booster the front pin can be removed (pull it out) and replaced with the long version. Or you can put a plug in the hole of the master. Either way you need to have .030" clearance between the front pin and the rear master seat. Most deep hole masters are 1" bore which may be too small for what you are doing unless it's one of those newer Chinese masters that they have made every which way. If you want to run the master you have I have plugs that you can have for the USPS cost to mail.

Re: Long MC Pushrod?
Here is a pic of what my booster looks like I believe it is an 11", it is original to the truck and the PO sent it off and had it rebuilt somewhere in California.
If all I have to do is measure the back of the MC to find out the bore size, mine measures 1-1/8" |

Re: Long MC Pushrod?
1 1/8" bore is what you want.
