Canadian Vin??
My Dad gave me this number as a vin for a possible 72 parts truck but I can't make any sense of it
CCS1421111641 That doesn't even look like the right format to me but maybe somebody can shed some light

hmm...well it seems fine except I can't see a letter indicating assembly plant. other than that, it looks ok...1/2 ton 2wd 6 cyl 1972 model truck.

The spot where the letter indicating plant has a "1" in it. This tells that it was made in Oshawa Ontario. All of the other plants used letters the Canadian one is the only number. This is the only difference between Canadian and US vins

In 72 GM used an additonal C up front for Chev's or used a T for GMC trucks.
CCE = Chev 8 cyl TCE = GMC 8 cyl 70 and 71 is where more confusion lies...but you not asking so Im not telling...lol
