All right, boys and girls. I have not only been thinking about tubbing my 67 stepside but that project is underway. If I start a build thread there's a few things you should be aware of. The largest tire I can get into my rear fenders is a 285/60-17. It has just 3/4 inch of clearance on the bedside and about 1/2 in on the inner fender lip. To get the most out of the space you get, you should narrow the differential housing about 2 in on each side and I will do that as well as narrow the fleetside rear tubs. On those street tires high 11's. On a set of borrowed 31 inch M&H slicks 10.22which got me banned at the track. No roll cage and no laundry. But I did get the timing slip.
