Outdoor/weather resistant cover
My pickup will be demoted to outdoor storage for a majority of the summer. Anyone have any reccomendations for an outdoor weather resistant cover? Not terribly concerned with protecting the truck so much as looking for a fitted cover that will hold up to sun/wind/rain. No blue tarps!

Re: Outdoor/weather resistant cover
I've had a Wolf Evolution 3 cover for over 15 years now. For five years of that, it was outdoors. It has held up phenomenally!
Don't get a "universal" cover. Get one specifically for your vehicle. The nice, snug fit will help it stay on in the wind. Also, use the grommets in the cover for a bungee cord, or cable lock. I think the key to having it last a long time is how I wash it. Once a year, I take it to the laundromat and use the BIGGEST machine they have, and I use a little Woolite. I wash it twice with the soap, and once without soap, then I take it home and unroll it on my pickup so it air-dries nice and even. And over the years, it's got a few holes in it. I sent an email to the cover's manufacturer, and they sent me a huge piece of fabric -no charge, not even for shipping- which I had an auto upholstery shop use to sew patches over the holes. |

Re: Outdoor/weather resistant cover
I have one of these in black.........
http://www.covercraft.com/carcovers/...shield_hp.html I couldn't be happier with the cover, yes, it was very expensive, but my truck stays dry and clean underneath. The cover was purchased in 2009.

Re: Outdoor/weather resistant cover
Also, summit racing has their own line of covers that are nice and reasonably priced. They do not list them by vehicle, rather by length if I remember right.
