OOOOO, I'll be in that neck of the woods this weekend. Now if I can only convince my wife to let me buy it and follow me home to pick up any parts that fall off

Talking

Jeff,

You are right, that is a tilt steering column.

I wonder if the beer cans come with the truck?

Highlander was a '72 only thing, and an interior upgrade; a kind of special package offered. They came with an insane cloth insert plaid seat and some other little treats like badging under the series number on the fenders. From what I've seen, you could only get 4 colors too; blue, orange, green (called avocado), and gray. (note the green plaid seat peeking out from under the cover in one of the pics.).

Here is a link to a highlander seat on ebay right now to give you a better idea of what to look for. Not a bad price either!

As Adam states it included the plaid seat but also got you carpeting and the Custom Deluxe trim package as well. In addition, there were 3 levels of packaged options, though I forget the specifics. Level 1 was automatic plus special wheel covers, etc, level 2 included the tilt, and level 3 included a/c. If this has a tilt it's a level 2 truck, hence the odd combo of tilt, PS, auto on an I6 truck w/o Power brakes.

Looks good for the current bid. What is the story behind the fan shoud? I have never seen a 250 with a fan shoud. Is that a factory peice? Did GM start installing them in 72?
