My 1974 El Camino
In the past 2 years I have been on the 1962 truck board and the 1976 GMC board except since selling those two I have purchased a nice low mileage 1974 El Camino classic.I purchased this El Camino with 67,500 original miles and now has 72,000. With tons of paper work since it was new.350 2bbl. auto with dealer installed air and cruise.Still retains the Gem topper that was painted to match installed shorty after it was purchased in 1974.The interior looks like it just came off the lot and still retains the original sales receipt,Broshure for the topper and many receipts from when the car was new.The original owner is now 83 years old and the 2nd owner kept this car along with 14 other el caminos in a large shop for 10 years, verified by that owner.According to the 2 owners this topper has only been off the truck twice since 74 and it finally had to come off today for the summer.Though This one is'nt modified in any way like the fancy ones except like the old saying goes,They are only original once.I figured I would share a few pictures of it.

Re: My 1974 El Camino
Very cool. It would make a nice tow vehicle for my car....I have a '74 Chevelle. Owned since new.
You can read about it here if you are interested: http://www.popularhotrodding.com/fea...lle/index.html Let me know if you have any questions about where to get parts, or online forums, etc. K

Yes it has the Gem topper.I drove these when they were new and I really did'nt like the topper combo even though several friends said to leave it on except then the topper makes them look to much like a hearse going down the road.
