Unless there are any KOTS events around here, I guess I'll probably just hit some test 'n' tunes this year.

Re: Who all is racing this year ?

Were headed into race #4 of ADRA here in a couple weeks. I missed one race, broke a starter at one going into the 2nd round, and went out 1st round at one. Not been a stellar season for me, but somehow I'm in the middle of the pack at #19. Think I'm going to get the Nova chassis recerted and go make some points and try to make it back into the top 10 before the summer break. Only have 6 more races before shutting down for the summer, then will have only 2 races starting in Oct to play catch-up.

Re: Who all is racing this year ?

Not sure what class I'll be in, but I'll be making a few passes this summer. Most likely just test n tunes. Maybe a few club races. As soon as I get a new front window, I'll be ready.

Hey Doug!
Yeah, I'll be at Duquoin again this year. If they do something at the track again, I'm sure we'll give that a try again, too. Hopefully the weather will be a little more cooperative this year.
How's your truck coming along?

Re: Who all is racing this year ?

Hotrod are you going to the April 5th Truck shootout race ? I plan on going. Also hope weather is good and will go this Friday. Just finished up with a cam change and more port work on heads and put motor back on dyno. Hope to be 10.0-10.20 on motor now.

I believe im scheduled to work that weekend . I am running IHRA in Sealy this weekend and the spring cha ching in Pine Valley the following weekend . The april 5th would be the last race for me for a while and i was intending to do the motor swap and start testing . I should be 10ish with the new combo on motor .

Re: Who all is racing this year ?

I'll be running portions of the NMCA schedule (the close ones) and I also have been running a "Renegade Racing" all motor series which alternates between Thompson Ohio and Norwalk. NMCA will be the "Nostalgia Muscle Car" category and Renegade has a 10.50 index that is a bit slow for me but a good fit otherwise.

This will be my 36 consecutive year running this same car.

Maybe you can get it in the nines on motor that would be cool.
I have considered going to one of those races but was concerned about track prep with all the street tires. And judging from what I have seen and read about the last one you might have to leave a guard at your trailer while you racing....lol

I went to one of the first ones and it was as you posted , a bit wild . I understand the last couple have been alot more organizered . The street tires are hard on the track . I would be happy to be in the 9's on motor , but dont want to deal with all the SFI stuff . 10.0 would make me one of the fastest NO-E cars at my home track .

Absolutely , If you ever see my truck at any track come up and introduce yourself . I never met a stranger . I see your in Keller . TX , you haqve plenty of nice tracks around you .

Keith , i have seen your car before , possible a Mag feature or Yellowbullet , or both . 36 years in the same car you should have a good handle on it . This will only be my 3rd year with this truck and im about to change it again .

Im glad i started this thread . Bunch of good guys here that enjoy racing like i do .

Going to make a couple trips to track with new combo then change convertors. Current one is tight 9" TransKing 4,000 for spray. Looking at a Pro Edge 9" @ 4,800-5,000 and should put me real close to 9.90 on motor.

IDK , the last one rained out and i have the tickets in the truck so it would be free . Ill probably be in Pine Valley for the Spring CHachin race . Was considering putting 150 in the plate and running 5.80 Index though .
