Exclamation Chevy Truck Manuals : 1947-1955 1st Series The Advance-Design Trucks

An article I helped contribute to, but did not write the majority of... about the manuals and sales literature available for the '47-'55 style trucks :

Chevy Truck Manuals : 1947-1955 1st Series The Advance-Design Trucks

I think it will come in handy to a lot of folks.

If you see some new people with those trucks wandering around, please point 'em that way.

Enjoy, add any feedback you may have,

thanks,

-W

Saved. I have a reproduction of what is probably the "silver" book for 48 trucks that I got from Jim Carter. http://www.oldchevytrucks.com/ I use it quite a bit to answer questions that pop up here.

71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Funny you should post this, I just came across it on a google search this morning.

It has been on the server/webpage for awhile getting final tweaks... but the Editors just recently added it to the Tech Tips list and announced it to the board.

The other writer there had most of the knowledge, I just got him started on it and asked him to do it.

He really knows the manuals for that style.

I hope it comes in handy to folks.
