Cold air intake

Hey guys,

On other cars I have had I always added intake and exhaust as the first and easiest way to get a little boost from my engines. I was told the carb set up on my 350 is aftermarket but would a cold intake system be better? If so, do you guys have any recommendations?

Here is my set up, please forgive me as I am still learning.

Also, can someone explain why my photos are ALWAYS sideways?

Re: Cold air intake

It looks like your carb is an Edelbrock so yeah it is aftermarket. On the cold air intake, the four inch filter you have on there will probably give as much gain as a cold air intake on a street vehicle. If you had a more radical setup, ie turbo, or it was in a race car it might be worth looking into.

Cool Re: Cold air intake

Pictures being side ways. Are you loading them to the site with a phone? If so you need to use a program like microsoft to rotate them before uploading. Cold air is good no matter what the size of the engine is. Colder intake air means better fuel burn.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
