heating and cooling
ok guys i did it this time i have my 82 and i was cleaning my engine last nigt all the wires and cables and i took off my compressor wires and i put them back on and now my ac doesnt work or my heater, could i have blown a fuse? or any other ideas?

Were the compressor wires the only ones you removed or were there other's such as the fan motor/relay and resistor??
The A/C compressor doesn't have anything to do with the heating system. Did you have the temp. controller selected to the full hot position?? when you were checking the heater sys. And was the truck at operating temp? First thing i would is visually inspect the wires and the connector at the compressor for any defect's and any other wires or connectors that were disturbed. There's is a fuse on the fuse box marked A/C check that as well if it's blown you need to find out what caused it to blow and correct the problem. |
