Re: testing: new to photobucket
Those look Good Russel. you didn't push the side out with any of them.
I shot the car show I went to a week ago at 8 meg on my Canon Rebel T3 and that seems to work pretty good. I've been shooting the 8 meg on other shots the past week as the local TV station has used a number of my weather photos over the past couple of years.

Re: testing: new to photobucket
The pics were from last summer, so it isn't that green now. It is beginning to turn now though.
I guess the forum limits the size of the pictures. That's what I was looking to find out by posting the different sizes like that. At least you can go over the 640 by 480 size by using Photo bucket. Mr48, nice pics, I especially like the one of the sunset. The pics above were taken with my old Olympus C-7000 at 3072 by 2304 resolution. I just bought a Nikon D3200 but have only mostly just looked at it and read the book so far. |

Re: testing: new to photobucket
I've used photobucket for years and store all of the photos I post on here on my photobucket page.
The good thing is that if you shoot in high resolution you can resize the photo on photobucket to a size that works well when posted on forums or even crop the photos and not change the original you have stored on your computer or other storage.

Re: testing: new to photobucket
I used to use Village Photos, www.villagephotos.com, and liked it. I didn't use it for a while and went to use it recently and found out it doesn't exist any longer. I've heard so much positive about photobucket that I decided to try it. I like it so far.

Re: testing: new to photobucket
One good thing about Photobucket is that if you want to make certain albums "private" so that only you or those you give the proper password to can open them it's easy to do while being able to share the photos you want to share with the rest of us. Another is that it is pretty easy to edit the photos that you want to edit. The best for me is that I can load car shows in an album for that show. Come on here and post a few photos of Task Force and AD trucks and maybe an interesting "other photo" and then post the link to the album for those who care to open the album and view the 455 other photos I took at that show. I do the same on the HAMB with Hamb friendly photos and link the album. When I post photos to help someone figure something out I put those in an appropriate album or sub album which helps me and possibly others find them later.

Re: testing: new to photobucket
i've used photobuck for year to post pics to forums. one thing i will say is; organized your folders. make a new folder for every project or subject. i didn't do this when i first started using photobucket, it makes finding pics a lot easier.
while my cell phone is new, it is a dumb flip phone with a camera and texting package, no internet. i can send a picture message straight to photobucket with out a data plan. if you choose to do this; move your pics out of the mobile upload folder before you post to a forum. if you move a pic after posting it will not show. i upload ffrom my phone and from my computer in all different formats and sizes. i believe photobuck resizes all the uploads to save space on their servers. all of my picture come out the same size when posting to forums.

Re: testing: new to photobucket
Thanks for the compliments on my truck. I have a Scott's front suspension coming so I can get the front end down to a more acceptable level.
