Re: aftermarket steering columns
The polished aluminum Ididit was a simple bolt in. I ordered the unit without the gear indicator and went with the billet LCD in dash unit.
The tilt feature is handy. |

Re: aftermarket steering columns
(slight fab work) all I did was install a piece of 5/8 heater hose smashed between the lower part of the dash and steering column (for tighter fit) and used the original park brake lever mounting assy... drill 2 holes on steering column tube and install 2 short threaded inserts (but not necessary) to bolt to park brake lever mounting assy...you will use the original lower mounting ring clamp on the fire wall and replace the foam between the cover and firewall.. I dont believe your truck will have the lower mounting ring clamp but here is a stock pick of the park brake mounting assy with the 2 holes. PM me if you need any help..

Re: aftermarket steering columns
I bought one from pol--performance online for about $200 and it was an ididit column. bought the adapter for the wiring and it was americanautowire. bought the shaft and joint from cpp and I think the whole thing was about 200-250. been a couple of years.when I installed it I put the column as far forward as I could. gained maybe a couple of inches
