Power steering box

What years of chevy trucks will the power steering box fit our trucks? Do the 73 & up fit and already have the quicker steering turning ratio?

thanks

Ron

some of th e 73 up ones work. they have to have the right threads on the holes in the box i think to work. they work up to a certain year when they changed to metric. they have a 3.5 turn to turn lock and our trucks have 4.5 turn to turn lock.

73 to 87 work fine. Later years got the o-ring type of p/s hoses instead of the flare type. Just convert the pump fitting to an o-ring one if you need to.

The box will be either o-ring or flare type. The box fitting can't be changed, so use the hose to match the box and switch the pump fitting.

The fitting in the back of the pump unscrews. Two types of fittings, o-ring and flare type. Use whichever one your hoses are.
