1964 Chevrolet C10
Ok Gentleman, I have a 1964 Chevrolet C10 and I was wanting to add air to this truck when it is finished. I dont want an aftermarket a/c, I would like one of the 1965 Chevrolet C10 A/C's. I know those trucks came standard and I was hoping some of you gentlemen could help me track one down. It would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Aaron |

Re: 1964 Chevrolet C10
You'll have to get a paid membership to post there I believe. And good luck on the search. A hard to find part and expensive when they pop up.

Re: 1964 Chevrolet C10
was AC a "factory" option in 1964 on our trucks? I thought it wasnt available as a factory option until 1966 or 67.

Re: 1964 Chevrolet C10
Was a factory option in 63 so should have been in 64 also. It is in my 63 Custom accessories book.

Re: 1964 Chevrolet C10
I saw a 1965 chevy with factory air. Definately a change in the dash board!
The vents were in totally differant places than one with out air. |

Re: 1964 Chevrolet C10
1964 was first year for in-dash A/C-the operating instructions are even in the 64 operator's manual.
I have a 64 pickup w/factory A/C. |

They do pop up from time to time on ebay and even on this site. Try to find one that is as complete as possible. Some of the small parts can be the most expensive of all.

Re: 1964 Chevrolet C10
Where did they mount the compressor? I have a 283 in a 64 and there are no mounting holes in the heads at all. I wonder how they put power steering in these as well??????
These forums are awesome. Thanks to everyone. |
